:: Valentine For Dummies
For everyone out there who is saying that Valentines Day is just something that was invented by hallmark to increase their sales figures, and all the similar excuses to skip valentine, I say, SHUT UP, it’s a very nice idea, yet I have my own understanding of it.
Please think about it people, why would a happy couple bother celebrating valentine? I’ll tell you why, because they suck in relationships. They don’t know when or how to appreciate their relation, when or how to be passionate, when and how to fire it up and totally celebrate. That’s why, stupidly enough, they wait till flowers and roses prices are high so they mean something again,, crap! Happy couples don’t do valentine! Unless they break up on valentine :p
I say, there are 3 vital annual occasions on a couple’s calendar… the first and the most important is the anniversary! The anniversary is a celebration of the relation, and its unique, its for both them, its very nice to remember it and celebrate it, exactly the opposite of valentine. Who can forget about it while it’s everywhere? And what’s the point to celebrate it with the other 2 billion couples on earth? [Wait a minute, unless their anniversary is on valentine, wow] And the other two events are their birthdays, where it’s a chance for one partner to put the other one in the spot light, in the center off attention, and focus on him/her at least once a year.
So, valentine is for single people, or potential couples, for singles, just a reminder that you are alone, a free bird, no commitments, no rules, nothing, the sky is the limit, a big huge red bell ringing and alarming you that your life is AWESOME, [High leaf] to all the singles… and for potential couples, I want to suppose that they are normal people so the guy is trying to get a meaningful bouquet for the girl, and invite her out! Well, if he does that, it’s definitely a hidden unsaid message! And if she accepts, it’s also the same… also NOT inviting her is meaningful, and turning him down is surly a big strong [ usually hurts] unsaid message… my point is, as a potential couple, whatever you do on valentines day, it has a meaning! [ops, now I understand how you can have your anniversary on valentines]
Wrap up the whole story, valentines is for singles, the perfect plan is >>>> hehehe, you know it

Anyway, I get soooooo irritated by this whoooooole thing Hamzeh, it really gets on my nerves :@
I feel it’s sooooo fake, what I see girls & boys do make me wanna burst!
As you’ve said, there’s almost a common issue in all relationships, that it scares me! Nothing pure & loving anymore!
Today for me, is just a new day,
with my parents away,
& many pressures to say,
& a bunch of fake redness in the air!
Arabs are asl el-love kolloh! We don’t need no valentine wala roses that shine!
We come from people who wrote poems for the love of God which is the source of aaaaaaaaaaall love.. Our prophet (pbuh) was the one who cried when he saw his late wife’s necklace! Ali, his son in law talked to the siwak of his wife telling it that if it was a man, he would have killed it.. We ARE LOVE..
WE DON’T NEED NO VALENTINE!
However, as you’ve said, Valentine is an excuse for sucky relationships!

As usual a great piece you’ve posted there Hamzeh, well this day as you said sometimes causes problems between couples specially in case someone forget about it , without mention the money they spend XD Even though I can see a lot of people who fake being in love or just wanna prove something for the other side the thing I like that among them people to prove that lie spent the last money they’ve got to prove that lie XD this is something I really like lol
Why valentine? well even though among us there are people who show love on daily basis but we are all aware that we get bored of the same thing, so some of us give extra attention to this day since to some it means a special day so one of the couple side because he is just following others would think that this day is special and when he get something extra in this day he feels he surely in the eye of the other side. However people who just want to be like others might give some hard time for the other side, people to fake love they buy most expensive gifts, so if someone showing an honest love by gifting a simple red rose the other side might say yeah thank you for the love (with that face -_-)
Well to some this is a very important day but to me I even forgot that day was even coming up. It didn’t mean anything to me in so long! I just haven’t cared. Just meant the days were moving along as usual.
I bought my roses long before valentines,, few days,, when they were at a normal price, loool

As a single, went out with single friends, got a rose from the waiter at the restaurant since they were giving roses to all girls there! how pathetic! but.. free like a bird and happy
happy valentine’s day thought i dont believe in valentine! I celebrate love when i feel to not when calendar tells me to! :S
This valentine I had 2 thoughts crossing my mind;
1st I’m single
2nd I’m free
So I thought loud and said:
